IMPORTANT RULE CHANGES:
As a result of a vote at the 2012 Adult Softball League Managers Meeting, the following rules changes will be implemented to the 2012 Adult Softball League.

Official Ball:

Men's League: Worth Hot Dot, 12" 52 COR, 300 Compression, Optic Yellow, Synthetic or Leather Cover
Women's League: Worth, 11", 44 COR, 375 Compression, Optic Yellow, Synthetic or Leather Cover

Co-Ed - Walking a Male Batter Rule:

When a male batter is walked, the following female must bat if there are less than 2 outs. If there are two outs and a male batter is walked, the following female may choose to bat or walk.

The 2011 walking a male batter rule allowed a female batter to walk or bat any time following a male batter walk. By changing this rule, it will allow the female batters more offensive play.

PLAYER REGISTRATION & ROSTER INFORMATION:

All players MUST complete the 2012 Adult Softball League Roster and Liability Waiver and pay their corresponding players fee prior to play.

Rosters and waivers will NOT be accepted at the fields or by the softball supervisor. The forms must be completed in the Recreation Department Office during normal business hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm or online.
All rosters will be 'frozen', and no players may be added or deleted from a team roster after the 8th game of the season. Teams may list 'inactive' players on their roster as back up players; the inactive players do not have to complete the necessary eligibility requirements until they are prepared to play. Players may be 'activiated' any time, even after the 8th game, as long as they are listed on the roster prior to the 8th game.

2012 TEAM PICTURES: Due to difficulty rounding up the teams for a team picture, we will no longer automatically take a team photo. If you would like a team photo to be taken, please contact the Recreation Office and we can arrange a date and time to do so on your night of play. Otherwise, you can email your team picture to grec@greenvillemi.org and we would be happy to download your photo on the website as well.
