The 2019 Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament will be making a return stop in Greenville on June 29-30th!
Downtown Greenville, on M-91/N. Lafayette St., will be transformed to Mackerville. Basketball will officially tip off on Saturday morning with Opening Ceremonies at 8:00 am. First-Round games will begin at 8:30 am on Saturday and continue throughout the day. Play will resume again on Sunday at 8:00 am.
Between your games, be sure to check out the exciting contest taking place throughout the day on Saturday. This is a great way to show off your skills and possibly win a cool prize!
The Macker Tournament is for everyone (male and female divisions ages 8-80). Whether you’re just a beginner, a seasoned pro, a weekend warrior, or an ageless amateur, this MACKER is for you! The unique Macker bracket system puts you in competition with teams of similar age, experience and even size, and even teams that struggle can win the “Toilet Bowl,” which is just one of the many cool trophies up for grabs.
The Greenville Gus Macker is being sponsored by a joint effort between the Greenville Area Recreation & Community Center and the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce. We are in need of volunteers to assist with Special Events at this years tournament. We are using an online program (VolunteerSpot) to schedule our volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering but don’t want to use this online program to register, please contact Greenville Area Recreation & Community Center at 616.754.9163 and we can sign you up. For volunteering, you will get a cool Gus Macker volunteer t-shirt and food! Sign up by June 22!
